IT Outsourcing
IT Outsourcing means outsourcing of IT processes such as IT infrastructure, Software Development, IT maintenance & Support to a third party company wherein the entire responsibility of IT is parted on to the third party company.
Many businesses today look to outsource their IT services, whether it relates to outsourcing IT infrastructure, IT departments or both. On some occasions companies want a technology refresh and rather than deal with it themselves they will give it to a provider and replace the service.
AS per a report by Nasscom "The demand for IT outsourcing is showing no signs of slowing, but around 65 per cent of IT outsourcing contracts fall short of expectations due to the focus on ROI figures". The critical success factor of
any IT Outsourcing relationship is * Close coordination amongst both the parties * Clear understanding of the business by the third party * Carefully drafting of contract with clear understanding of deliverables.
Like any business issue IT outsourcing needs to be judged upon its own requirements and businesses need to set clear objectives that can be met. Any outsourcing relationship should be two-way and meeting a client’s expectations will take plenty of effort from the top to bottom of the sourcing organisation. Companies need to consult with IT experts so they can get on with their business with the confidence that their IT is in capable hands
